Glynn Bickett, 37, dies from accidental handgun wound An accidental death occurred shortly after noon today, Thanksgiving day, at a residence located 12 miles south of Columbia on Bird Road. The victim, Glynn Bickett, 37, of Adair County, had been target practicing with friends when his handgun accidentally discharged, striking Bickett in the chest area. Alford A. Bennett, 80, Song Leader at Old Concord UMC Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home for Alford A. Bennett, 80, who passed away Wednesday at Westlake Regional Hospital. He was retired from OshKosh and was a farmer and member of Old Concord United Methodist Church where he had served as song leader and was a Sunday School teacher. She was living in a beautiful new home on the crest of the hill on the Johnson ancestral farm, with a caring extended family right at hand. Faith had always played a big part in her life, and now that was perfect, with all four a very much involved part of the Trinity United Methodist Church family. But the day would bring shattering news of her husband's massive heart attack, near death, and prospects which could have destroyed anyone of lesser faith.
