23 CANDIDATES have filed for Adair County Offices: An overview Races are already getting interesting, with everything from the Brothers Turner seeking Magisterial posts in two districts to a repeat cast from 2001 in the Sheriff's race, and it's just November 18, 2005. There's gender imbalance, but Republican women are doing their part. CYRUS: Diddleism about LWC was compliment, wasn't it? The news about the soon-to-be unveiled statue of Gradyville's most famous son reminded me of something from an article in the December 16, 1942 Adair County News. Coach Diddle and his Western Teachers College varsity team blew into town on Dec. 12, 1942 and mauled the undermanned Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders 74-14.
