Wet roads apparent cause of accident on Kentucky 90

Minor injuries sustained by driver; passenger not injured
Cody A. Walker, 18, Marrowbone, KY, sustained minor injuries when he lost control of his westbound 2006 Chevy Colorado on a wet roadway, ran off the roadway, and struck an earth embankment before overturning.

The accident occurred at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, November 15, 2006, 12 miles west of Burkesville, KY on KY Hwy 90.

BAND BOOSTERS ALICE WHEELER, BEVERLY MERRIT and LARRY WALKER are wearing big smiles during this award-winning season, first with a state championship and now a history-making national championship. They are part of the support crew of family and friends who help out in the background. Beverly and Larry were in the band together when they were in high school. Beverly has been to band competitions almost every single year. All three have family members in the band this year.

This article was written in 1972 when Mr. McKinney was making the transition from Burton Ridge to Danville, KY, through the Centre College of Kentucky. Cyrus, our Central Ohio Bureau Chief, resurrected this Harold McKinney masterpiece.
With all due respect to Amy Vanderbilt and Emily Post there is a sad lack of literature on proper etiquette in circulation. It is very apparent in the manners and actions of many people.

Walk-in flu clinic for unvaccinated, high-risk individuals, Friday, Nov. 18, 200

Because of limited supply of vaccine at this time, Adair Health Department asks healthy individuals to wait until the next shipment is received. FluMist, inhaled vaccine will be available at that time
A walk-in flu shot clinic will be held on Friday, November 18, 2005 at the Adair County Health Department at 801 Westlake Drive. Clinic hours will start at 8:00 a.m. to 2:30, or until vaccine supply is exhausted.

No appointment will be necessary on this day. All high-risk persons who have not been vaccinated are strongly encouraged to receive their flu shots at this time. High-risk patients include those with cancer, chronic diseases such as diabetes and asthma, heart conditions, pregnant women and health care workers.

Adair County is one of 19 Kentucky School Districts in south central Kentucky participating in the U.S. Department of Education's Transition to Teaching Program, which let's skilled professionals to enter the teaching field.
