Three sites suggested as alternatives for new Justice Center

Site bounded by Barger Insurance Building to the corner of the Square and Campbellsville Street, running to the Municipal Parking Lot on the north, is front runner for the moment; Project Development Board asks for three or four more sites

Three alternative sites for the new Adair County Justice Center were presented to the Adair County Justice Center Project Development Board (PDB) by the group's architect/engineering firm, DLZ, of Frankfort, KY. The group met at 9:00 a.m., Monday morning, November 7, 2005.

Accident on Parkway takes life of James Martin, and injures Barry Bryson

Barry Bryson, 42, of Glens Fork was near Glasgow this morning driving a Volvo semi pulling two trailers loaded with wood trim from Cox Interior of Campbellsville when a farm animal ran out into the roadway.

The ensuing accident injured him and took the life of his passenger, James Martin, 25, a newlywed from Knifley who was also employed at Cox Interior.

The accident happened near Glasgow at the eleven mile marker on the Louie B. Nunn (Cumberland) Parkway.

I recently found a web site that is proported to be an international organization that assists in reclaiming old, abandoned, neglected cemeteries.

I have reported the White Cemetery on KY 704 where a Revolutionary Soldier is buried. The cemetery is in terrible condition.

Does anyone remember the whistling gas tanks introduced on the 1949 Ford passenger vehicles?

Kentucky State Police Post 15 lists high crash areas in 11-county service area

The Kentucky State Police have identified South KY 61, the Burkesville Road, and North KY 55 has high crash areas in Adair County, KY.

A table which follows also identifies the high crash areas in the other 10 counties served by the Columbia State Police Post.

Youthfest is Friday, November 11, 2005 at Trinity UMC

Youthfest 05 will be this Friday, November 11, 2005, at Trinity United Methodist Church Family Life Center.

Krymson and Overglow will be performing. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Admissions will begin at 6:00 p.m. Trinity UMC is located on the east side of KY 55 North.

Adair Co. next to bottom, seatbelt use, in 11-County KSP Post 15 area

Thank God for Monroe County
Chart, rankings. Click here for related story
Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, has released seatbelt usage rates which show Adair County next to the bottom in seatbelt usage.

Only the Tennessee-border county of Monroe has more occupants who fail to use the llfe-saving devices.
