Slate Roc Haunted Holler will scare the bejeebers out of you!

It's going on tonight, just across the Metcalfe County line, on the Granville Sexton Road. It's scheduled for two nights, Friday, October 28, and Saturday, October 29, 2005, from dark to after midnight. To get there from Columbia: Go to Church at the intersection of Highway 80 and Highway 768. This is immediately east of the LBN overpass. Go east on 768 to Price's Creek Road. Take a left on Price's Creek Road. You'll pass Moore Cemetery. Keep going until you have gone past Price's Creek Baptist Church. Granville Sexton Road is a little way past Price's Creek Baptist Church. You'll see signs all along the way from Highway 80 which guide you to Halloween Holler. If you get lost, just look for the signs. Or stop and ask directions, even if you are a man. Go at your own risk! Not for the faint of heart.
Or, just follow the signs from the intersection of KY 80 and KY 61 - Edmonton RD and Burkesville RD. The directions are well marked.

It's the scariest place you could go to tonight.

Just ask Daril Salyers, proprietor of D&F Grocery in Gradyville. "We did pretty good until the spook jumped out with the chainsaw running"!, he said. "We weren't ready for that." Mr. Salyers was accompanied by his wife, Frances, the co-proprietor of D&F.

2005-10-28 - Slate Roc Holler entrance, Granville Sexton Road, just over the Adair County line, in Metcalfe County, KY - Photo Linda Waggener. In the daytime, it is a very innocent fall scene. But tonight, in the darkness, frightening experiences await the unwary traveller along Granville Sexton Road. This is the entrance from Price's Creek Road. The sign across the road says, "Pumpkins donated by Stevie Gibson."
