Accident south of Glensfork, KY, sends two to WRH


  • Injury victims treated and released
  • Accident occurred mid-afternoon on KY 55

A one-car injury accident at 2:15 p.m., today, Wednesday, February 16, 2005, resulted in the driver and a passenger being treated and released at Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY.

Parvin Trowbridge, 80, Jamestown, KY, was traveling southbound on KY 55, 3 miles south of Glensfork, KY. His vehicle left the right shoulder of roadway, and struck a culvert.

Magnolia House, first Columbia, KY, first Adair County, KY. B&B

  • Ribbon cutting is Saturday, February 19, 2005
  • Location is very close to Square, genealogy research center
  • Founders are Carson and Linda Lewis

The Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce will have a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday, February 19th beginning at 10:00 AM at the Magnolia House located at thecorner of Jones and Merchant Streets.

This is the first Bed and Breakfast in Adair County.

Magnolia House is owned and operated by Carson and Linda Lewis.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The last quarter century may have been the biggest period of growth in the 101-year history of Lindsey Wilson College, but the next two decades could be even bigger for the college and Adair County.

That was the message Lindsey Wilson President William T. Luckey Jr. delivered Tuesday afternoon to members of the Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce.
