My Quest for Great Grandparents Mary Ann Coomer Family of Adair Co,. KY By: Col. Carlis B. Wilson In my quest for parents and siblings of grandmother Alma Coomer Wilson, after a visits of my relatives I was able to find out that my great grandfather's name was "Ammon Coomer." In a number of years of researching and getting no where with my grandmother Alma Coomer family I had pretty much put it on hold. While at the Adair County Public Library, looking for some documents and records on my Wilson Family, I located a folder in the Coomer Files. In that folder was a sheet of paper with a half dozen Coomer names, although there was no signature or source for the names. However this Coomer family was: John Coomer, b. 1796, Stokes Co., NC. He married Nancy Unknown. She was born in 1803.
