    Army, World War II, Sgt. Oliver Eldridge McClister was stationed at Achen, Germany. He was killed on March 13, 1945. A German plane had been shot down on the army base at Achen. Sgt. McClister volunteered to help dismantle the plane. A tire exploded on it striking him on the head causing instant death. He served 4 years and 1 month. (Update)
