The 2009 Deer Hunt: Casey Co. moves ahead of Adair

Embarrassing statistics, the Seven County 2009 Deer Hunt standings moved to jump today
Click on headline for full story, sad standings (for Adair County hunters) and picture of on of those Luttrells who are getting so many deer up in Dunnville

By Ed Waggener

Adair County is, embarassingly, now in third place among the Seven Counties on the 2009 deer hunt. It is probably because of Frances Salyer's kinfolks, her perfect dad, Lloyd Wilson of Liberty, and the Luttrell family of Dunnville in Casey County, who seem to be getting a deer or more a day over there.

It could be that Ryan Beard, the great deerslayer who lives in Adair County and teaches in Casey is the reason. Maybe just his influence, the aura of his hunting exploits, inspires hunters of all ages to reach new heights.
