UPDATE: The Parkway was reopened around 3:30pmCT when roadway was fully cleared and workers were finished.
Westbound lane on the Cumberland Parkway closed due to a fire early Monday, October 2, 2023. All traffic is using West Hwy 80 as an alternate. The Columbia - Adair County Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 05:21 hours this morning to a mutual aid request by Metcalfe County Fire Department on a report of a fully engulfed semi fire at approximately the 34mm on the Cumberland Parkway.
