Taylor County teachers honored in 2023 EIT program

Teachers from Taylor County honored by the CU Excellence in Teaching program are: Jade Sanders, Taylor County Elementary School; Amber Wolf, Taylor County Middle School; and Melissa Laymance, Taylor County High School.

Jade Sanders of Campbellsville, Ky., has taught third grade reading/social studies at Taylor County Elementary School since 2001. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education (P-5) from Campbellsville University in 2010 and her Master of Special Education from Campbellsville University in 2012. She is a 2006 graduate of Taylor County High School. She is married to Neil Sanders, and they have two children: Drake and Dawson.

Amber Wolf, of Campbellsville, has sixth grade math at Taylor County Middle School since Nov. 2020. She formerly taught eighth grade math at Crosby Middle School. She received a Bachelor of Science in 5-9 math and social studies from Campbellsville University in 2019. She is a 2015 graduate of Bullitt Central High School and is the daughter of Shirley Wolf of Shepherdsville, Ky.

Melissa Laymance, of Campbellsville, has taught English II and AP Language and Composition at Taylor County High School since 2002. She received a Bachelor of Art in English from Campbellsville College in 1994. She also received a Master of Art in Education from Campbellsville University in 2001 and a National Board Certification in adolescent literacy. She is married to Anthony, and they have two children: Allie (Malone) Pritchett and Ara Laymance.
