Green County teachers honored for excellence

Teachers from Green County honored by the CU Excellence in Teaching program are Amanda Johnson, Green County Primary School; Jamie Vaughn, Green County Middle School; and Whitney Judd, Green County High School.

Amanda Johnson of Greensburg, Ky. has taught special education (K-2) at Green County Primary School since 2015. She previously taught at Glasscock Elementary and Lebanon Elementary in Marion County. She received a Bachelor of Science in Business from Campbellsville University in 2001. Johnson also received a Master of Arts in Special Education from Campbellsville University in 2007 and a Master of Arts in Regular Education from the University of the Cumberlands in 2014. she has three children: Brianna, Abigail and Alex Johnson.

Jamie Vaughn of Greensburg, Ky. has taught grades 6-8 at Green County Middle School since 2014 and previously taught grades 9-12 at Marion County High School from 2011 to 2012. She received a bachelor's in psychology from Campbellsville University in 2006. Vaughn also received a master's in learning and behavior disorders from Campbellsville University in 2010. She has two children: Kylee and Makinley Vaughn.

Whitney Judd of Greensburg, Ky. has taught computer science at Green County High School since Oct. 2015. She received an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Programming from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College in 2012 and also received an Associate of Science in Vocational Education from Western Kentucky University in 2018. She is married to Joshua Judd and they have two children, Peyton and Cameryn.
