Signs may be added to mark truck route around bypass

2023-07-09 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Among ideas discussed at the downtown traffic meeting at City Hall were possible additions of signs to help indicate the best truck route around Columbia. It will be especially helpful as drivers deal with the square being closed to through traffic from 7pmCT to 7amCT nightly from Tuesday, July 11, through Tuesday, July 18, 2023, as work begins to remove the wings from the historic Adair County Courthouse.

The top photo shows signage looking towards downtown from the connection of Hwy 55 N and the Veterans Memorial Bypass. The bottom photo shows signage looking towards downtown before the Bypass crosses Hwy 61/Burkesville Road.
