Blue the Cat angry but recovering

2023-01-30 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Smokey Blue, the senior cat at Columbia Magazine headquarters, is quite angry about the medical treatment he has been subjected to for an eye infection. As he sits in his Catalpa tree over Town Creek, he expressions says he does not approve of modern medicine.

Blue is one of two feral cat rescues who reside here and both have clearly stated policies of no touching, except occasional light pats at food gatherings. To have had this time disrupted by medicine in his food and having more medicine applied to his eye - which meant touching and holding still - well, he is pretty furious. He probably won't thank Miss Vicky of the Pampered Angus Ranch who has been in charge of his care because she knows about keeping animals healthy, but to her credit, his eye is improving every minute.
