COVID-19 Update: virus rate growing, wear masks

2020-06-25 - Russell County, KY - Photo from the LCDHD daily report.
A 50-year-old female diagnosed today, Thursday, June 25, 2020, sends the total Adair County Coronavirus cases to 110. There was significant growth in COVID-19 cases at both the state and local level today. Therefore, the Lake Cumberland District Health Department strongly encourages everyone to wear a mask when out in public, to avoid crowds, to social distance (stay 6-feet from others), to wash their hands with soap and water often and thoroughly, to stay home if they have a fever or are coughing, to increase sanitation, and to avoid touching their faces. While several churches and businesses have had cases, our data clearly, clearly shows that those who were observing social distancing and masking guidelines fared far better than those that had not. Please take the guidance seriously. - Amy Tomlinson, LCDHD ten-county area.
