History researcher/writer JIM sends this warning from law enforcement printed on the front page of the Adair County News 90 years ago today, July 16, 1929.

"Last Warning. The public has been repeatedly warned against the reckless use of automobiles, speeding, reckless driving, disregarding stop signs and all other traffic regulations in the town of Columbia, Ky.

"This practice has been carried on to such an extent that it has become a menace to the lives and property of the citizens of this community.

"From the date of publication of this notice all ordinances governing traffic in the town of Columbia will be rigidly enforced.
