2018-11-13 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Jim. Jim sends this clipping, which appeared above the fold on the front page of the Wednesday, June 11, 1941 Adair County News. The text reads:
Rosenbaum Graduating at U.S. Military Academy

Mr. and Mrs. G L Rosenbaum, Miss Violet Rosenbaum, of Fairplay, and Mr. Elwood Rosenbaum, of Frankfort, left Sunday for West Point, N.Y. to attend the commencement exercises at the United States Military Academy.

On this impressive occasion their son and brother, Cadet Bert Rosenbaum, who entered the Academy four years ago, will receive his commission as Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. This is a hard won honor and Bert is receiving the congratulations of his many friends at home and elsewhere.
