Arrest results after stolen auto is apprehended in Columbia

Kentucky State Police Post 15 Trooper Begley was attempting to locate a stolen gray 2006 Ford Escape when he observed the suspect vehicle traveling south bound on Ky 55. When he initiated his emergency equipment in an attempt to initiate a traffic stop, the driver fled and ran through a red light at the bypass intersection of north KY 55 then exited the vehicle as she began to enter congested traffic while approaching the town square. The apprehension took place in front of the Adair Pawn and Gun business on Campbellsville Street in Columbia. The suspect auto is in front of the center KSP vehicle in this photo taken mid-day Monday, October 1, 2018.
