88 and getting her bachelors degree at Campbellsville University

2018-05-17 - Taylor County, KY - Photo by Joshua Williams.
Katherine Mumaw Nally of Louisville, KY is 88 years young and has just earned her Liberal Arts and Science degree, awarded at Campbellsville University commencement last Saturday, 12 May 2018. In the same month, she was featured in the Courier-Journal having been named Mother of the Year. As she walked to the stage, the special commencement speaker, Dr. E. Bruce Heilman, 92, stepped forward to assist her. Nally is presented her degree by CU President Michael V. Carter, left. Henry Lee, at right, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university, applauds her accomplishment. Both Nally and Heilman are examples of how aging can be a time of goals attainment and contributions, giving new meaning to the term 'senior'.
