Buildings & Grounds, Backpack program have good news 2017-07-22 - Adair County School District Conference Room, 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com(c). At left, Steve Turner, FRAM Coordinator, among other administrative duties, was recognized at the July 20, 2017 Adair County School Board Meeting for bringing back $1,000 won for the Adair County Schools Backpack program, which helps make sure every Adair County student has nutrition over the weekend. During the school day, every Adair County Student receives free breakfast & lunch. Turner's office coordinates essential registration to be completed for the program. (See Food Service for registration information.) At right David Jones, Director of Maintenance, reported on the readiness of the campus for the 2017-2018 school year. Improvements now on schedule are: Lighting on Col Casey Drive, new marquee lighting at the Col. Casey Drive, new HVAC and roof for ACHS, and necessary painting at all schools.
