New book on Story Walk at Blair Park and Rec Center

2017-07-20 - Jim Blair Park and Recreation Center, 901 Hudson Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Jelaine Harlow.
It's hot out folks but don't let that keep you from coming to the Jim Blair Center and checking out the new Story Walk book, My Mouth is A Volcano! "StoryWalk(R)" first appeared on the square in Columbia as a feature that promotes family literacy plus fitness, presented by partners in health and education including the Adair County Public Library, Family Resource Center, WATCH Coalition and local businesses. The basic program offers pages from a children's book posted along a walking trail like the half mile track at the Blair Center where families can walk the trail and read the book along the way. In the photos, the left side is the book cover and on the right side, the StoryWalk stands are placed along the walking track that surrounds the Blair Center. - JH
