Dr. Pam Stephens named Adair County Schools Superintendent

Dr. Pamela Stephens, acting Adair County School Superintendent was named to a 4 year term as Superintendent on a unanimous vote of the board. All Board members were present. Board Chair Lisa Burton (4) made the nomination and all Board Members, Terry Harvey (Div 1), Daniel Adams (2), Jonathan Gaskins (3), and Mike Harris (5) joined in the affirmation. Dr. Stephens acknowledged that she had not planned to be the permanent superintendent, but positive events changed her mind. She said she was excited and committed, committed to parents and students. The board voted a salary of $126,250. per year for the head job. Left in the photo is Lauren McQuaide, representing Adair County on the board.- EW
