Junior Jct, this morning - it worked perfectly in flash flood

2017-05-28 - Intersection Campbellsville Road & Fairground Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, Columbiamagazine.com(c) .

Before the Commonwealth built this intersection and re-routed Town Creek under it, traffic tie-ups were almost constant, and heavy rains could send the stream over Campbellsville Street, sometimes flooding buildings. Since its construction traffic flow has been accelerated, and flooding is non-existent. This photo was taken Sunday morning, May 28, 2017. An photo attempt Saturday, May 27, 2017, failed, but eye-witness of the location affirms the effectiveness of this low cost, competent improvement through collaboration of local citizen Junior Stotts and KDA District 8 engineers. - EW
