Simpson County Courthouse, Franklin, KY by Larry Smith

Larry Smith writes: "Simpson County Courthouse in Franklin, KY. I believe this courthouse was designed by the same man who designed the Adair County Courthouse. On the way back from Nashville yesterday I stopped to tour the historic city which sits on the Tennessee state line."

According to the authority, Mike Watson, the Adair County Courthouse, which he writes about in this article: Historic Adair County Courthouse: Now 130 years old, was designed by the McDonald Bros., a Louisville Architectural Firm, and was built by two local men, William Henry Hudson and Columbus Stone. There are many other buildings still standing, many still used as the county courthouse, which have similary designs by the McDonald Bros, as does the courthouse above. - CM
