PAC submits 1,965Wet-Dry Petition signatures to Co. Clerk

PAC - Progress for Adair County - has completed another step in the organization's effort to bring a Wet-Dry Election to Adair County. This morning, Thursday, January 22, 2016, at around 9:30amCT, Shannon Sexton, right Chair of PAC, and Janie Potts, PAC brought in a stack of papers with 1,965 signatures for Adair County Clerk Lisa Greer, behind counter to validate. A total of 1,039 validated signatures are needed for clerk to certify the election to Adair County Judge Mike Stephens, who, upon certification will order a special election to have the question on the ballot. - CM.
