Adair Countians are waking up to stunning news of the rejection by three board members of the leadership of Superintendent Alan W. Reed, the heart and soul of the most dramatic turnaround ever in Adair County, possibly in the state, in three short years. From left, during one of the many happier moments are Mike Harris, (Division I), who stood with Mr. Reed; Quin Lasley (Division 2), who voted against Mr. Reed's Contract; Superintendent Alan W. Reed; Board Chairman Floyd Burton, (Division 4), who stood with Superintendent Reed; Lisa Burton (Division 3), who voted against the contract; and Terry Harvey (Division 1), who voted against renewal of Mr. Reed's contract.
