Rep. Carney addresses Swearing-In Ceremonies

2015-01-09 - Adair County Judicial Center, 201 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
Rep. John (BAM) Carney addresses the audience at the Swearing-In Ceremonies on Sun 4 Jan 2015, prior to the start of the 30-day off-year legislative session. Listening, at left, is County Judge Executive Mike Stephens. Carney was speaking on behalf of 16th District State Senator Max Wise, who was unable to attend because of an illness. At the meeting, Rep. Carney said that recent articles in the media might have left the impression that his decision not to seek the Majority Whip position might have led some to believe that he was not seeking re-election as representative. As it stands now, he said, he will be a candidate for re-election in 2016. - EW. Clicking Readmore accesses Rep. Carney's first legislative column from the new session.
