Larry Smith, above, in front of the north approach to the Tebb's Bend Bridge, this morning, Saturday, January 3, 2014. The wooden flooring is now gone and the old bridge is closer to being taken down and given to a nature conservancy group which will reconstruct it nearby. A new bridge of similar design is expected to be installed in 2015. " The bridge is being custom made, with aesthetic design input from knowledgeable historians, including Taylor County historian, author and teacher Betty Jane Gorin Smith," Larry Smith said earlier. Taylor County Judge Executive Eddie Rogers and Fiscal Court are in charge of the upgrade.
