Kayla Richardson makes winning play in LWC win

Lindsey Wilson College guard Kayla Richardson of Louisville, KY, splits Campbellsville (KY) University defenders Chelsea Craig of Frankfort, KY, left, and LeeAnn Grider of Jamestown, KY, en route to scoring the winning field goal during Thursday night's game, 4 Dec 2014, at Biggers Sports Center. Richardson's layup with 0.6 seconds left gave LWC a 67-66 lead. Her free throw sealed a 68-66 Blue Raider upset win, which handed the Tigers their first loss of the season. Richardson finished with a game-high 20 points. With the win, No. 19-ranked LWC improves to 7-2 overall and 1-2 in the Mid-South Conference. Campbellsville, ranked No. 5 in the NAIA, falls to 10-1 overall, 3-1 in the MSC. The Blue Raiders' next home game is against St. Catharine (KY) College at 2pmCT Saturday, December 6, at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. - DUANE BONIFER
