(Ad) Dr. Ronald P. Rogers for Columbia City Council
2014-10-17 - Columbia, KY - Photo Campaign photo. To the Voters and Citizens of Columbia.
I am Dr. Ronald P. Rogers, candidate for re-election to the Columbia City Council.
I am a lifelong resident of Adair County except for brief periods away in college of chiropractic college.
My family now live in the same residence on Jamestown Street that I have called home since 1956. I am the son of Clevis Rogers and Barbara Jean Barger Rogers Logston. I was raised by my grandparents, Chelsie & Mary D. Barger, the founders of Barger Insurance Co. I am married to the former Gayle Gilpin of Campbellsville. We have two sons, Adam Rogers, a Doctor of Chiropractic in Bowling Green, KY, and Matthew Rogers, who is a civil engineer in the same city. Adam is married to the former Lauren Glasgow of Columbia. Matthew is married to the former Leslie Bennett of Columbia. Matthew and Leslie have two sons, Bryant Rogers, 5, and Hudson Rogers, nearly 2. I am a lifelong member of the Columbia Baptist Church.
It has been my privilege to serve the people of Columbia on he City Council a total 13 years, giving me a chance to see how all levels of City Government works. My focus has been, and will be on infrastructure and economic development
In my professional life, I have promoted good health and healthy lifestyles and to that end, I have worked for and will continue to work for parks and trails, , safe streets and more and safer sidewalks.
Athletics have played a big role in my life, and I've continued to support Adair County High School teams as team doctor for many years.
I am a graduate Adair County High School, of Lindsey Wilson (Junior) College, Western Kentucky University and Logan College of Science & Chiropractic and strongly support education at all levels.
I believe Columbia is a the greatest community there is and that an even brighter future is lies just ahead, if we all work together with enthusiasm and unity.
I ask for your vote and support on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Thank you.
