Procession carrying Capt. Tony Grider Home: Ladder One

2014-09-21 - 200 Block Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. There wasn't a dry eye in Columbia as Ladder One passed in review by the silent crowd whose shadows line the street, to honor the procession carrying Captain Tony Grider home. The apparatus has now become a symbol of even more greater significance than that of a progressive community. It was on a similar apparatus owned by brother firefighters in Campbellsville that Capt. Grider suffered injuries on 21 Aug 2014 which eventually resulted in his death 30 days later, on Saturday, 20 Sep 2014. - Ed Waggener
