CM Fashion: Plain Pink is the new rep

2013-08-24 - City Hall, 116 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo By CM Fashion Editor. Setting a high bar for the fashion standard for the Columbia City Council Councillor Dr. Ron Rogers sets the trend, usually very conservatively. On occasion, he goes boldly with the trendsetters, as he did recently with the plain pink instead of a 70s rep tie. Tie was, in Columbia, when one had plenty of competent haberdashers right on the Square, and those of us who didn't understand how to be the well dressed civic leader as Dr. Rogers does, could depend on free fashion coordination as good as any on Savile Row or 4th Street from Delmer Upchurch, Herb Taylor & Reed Stone, Roy Owens & Allen Taylor, Mr. Ruel Wooten, Hugh Abell, and by emulating most educators, doctors and lawyers, and Belknap salesmen, or, back in the day, being outfitted by bespoke tailors, wearing the wonderful work of the Bradshaw Bros, Tailors from the Montpelier area. Now, that fashion advice is found around here mostly on the Internet or by emulating a very few like Dr. Rogers. - The CM FE
