A Star Card for the Watson family - when just two were WWII

2013-06-16 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Mike Watson. There were undoubtedly other four star families in Adair County before the World War ended. In lieu of a "candle in the window" the families of servicemen obtained and proudly posted in a front window a card with luminescent stars, one for each one from that household serving the United States of America. Our grandparents, Milton and Mollie Reeder Watson, had at least two cards with the stars. No one knows what happened to the one with four starts, but the photo is of the one with two stars, representing the first two sons who went to war. - Mike Watson
