Band is always highlight of Christmas in Columbia

2012-12-03 - Downown Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener. They are always the highlight of Chrismas in Columbia parades and this year was no different. ACHS Band Director Tom Case, far right waves the crowd. The Christmas in Columbia band is made up of 1) Any Adair County Band Alum who wants to take part, 2) Adair County Band Members, and 3) Lindsey Wilson Marching Band Members. It's a fun, reunion thing - but they make great music together. When they reformed after descending Jamestown Hill, there were chill bumps there was a quiet except for "Joy to the World," played as if written specifically for the ensemble. Holding the sign are Preston Coomer and Harrison Rich. Haylee Knifley, ACHS Field Commander, is next. The brass on the front row, from left are Logan Barnes, ACHS alum and LWC; Cameron Barnett alum and LWC; Jack Hobbes, alum; Cody Herbst, senior ACHS; Dylan Claiborne, alum and LWC; Thomas Murrell, senior ACHS; and, far right, not yet identified LWC band member. LWC Band Director Band Director is out of frame, left, in this picture. - Linda Waggener
