Craig Feese gets receptive hearing for Little League Football

2012-11-14 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Craig Feese, Standing, right of the Adair County Little League Football program, appeared before Fiscal Court to request additional funding, beyond the $500 per year given to Little League Football, Basketball, and Baseball by the Court each year. Feese told the court that through a cooperative effort of Lindsey Wilson College, three Little League Football Bowls, held at Blue Raider Stadium in the Lindsey Wilson Sports Park, now attract hundreds of participants to Columbia at each bowl. One, he said, the Kosair Bowl, raises $8-10,000 for Kosair Charities. He noted that the visitors are a boost to the Adair County economy, adding a significant boost to restaurant and retail while they are here. Judge Ann Melton, left and members of the court will take the matter up at a subsequent meeting, after receiving the group's financial statement. Lower right, facing the camera: Adair County Treasurer Barry Corbin. The scene is from the Tuesday, November 13, 2012 regular meeting of the Adair Fiscal Court.
