Search for perfect stone slab finds success at Burton Stone

2012-11-05 - TRH, 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Barbara Armitage. There is no time to sit for Jeanne Marshburn, left and Wayne Armitage, right whose job it is to set the sitting stone. After one of the most intense stone slab searches in Adair County History, the stone was found at Burton Stone, Inc., Fairplay Road, Columbia, KY. With a little tinkering and adjusting, the slab will complete the addition of another bench at the Springhouse Herb Garden at the Trabue-Russell House.
