It was a time of great promise in Summersville, KY when this photo was taken by my grandfather, Fayette Hewitt Smith, in 1940, in front of the Farmers Bank of Summersville. If you look closely, you'll see a Photography banner over the right window. That was an advertiser fror Fayette Hewitt Smith.
