Clearing Grider Hill Pass

2010-02-01 - KY 61 South at Grider Hill Pass, Columbia, KY - Photo by Kelly Crawhorn. "The highway maintenance department is another group of people who deserve credit for keeping the roads safe for us," writes Kelly Crawhorn. "While we are wrapped snug in our beds, they are out around the clock salting, plowing, and slowly making sure that the roads are passable the next morning. I know because I didn't see my husband for two days. This truck was plowing the shoulder of the road on HWY 61 south, Sunday morning leaving a great spray of snow in its wake." The Visible ahead are the Bomar Heights water tower and, to its left, Summit Manor Rehab. The far tank, over the Summit Manor roof, is at Lindsey Wilson. ColumbiaMagazine.com Group at Flickr.com
