Campbellsville Fire Department Tower 51 fights Liberty, KY fire

2010-01-03 - Liberty, KY - Photo by Billy Pickett. Photographer Billy Pickett, Columbia, KY, shot this aerial photo of the huge fire in downtown Liberty today. The photo was taken from a Piper aircraft flying at 2,500 feet, piloted by Alan Reed of Columbia. The ladder truck is Tower 51, from the Campbellsville Fire Department. The heaviest smoke is coming from the old Brown Hotel. The large building in the right side of the photo is the Casey County Detention Center. The building in the lower right building is the Casey County Judicial Centger. The block in which the fire is located includes the Liberty Hardware and the old Liberty Grill, according to Reed, a native Casey Countian.
