LWC students aid Jamestown, KY Children's Advocacy Center

2009-10-06 - Photo by Duane Bonifer. LWC photo.. A group of Lindsey Wilson College students completed a class project Tuesday that will assist area children going through a traumatic experience. The Freshman Seminar Class, which is part of the college's Civic Engagement Learning Community, donated 150 stuffed animals and 70 decorated t-shirts to the Children's Advocacy Center, of Jamestown, KY. The child-focused center is the only children's advocacy center in this area. Staff there will give the shirts and stuffed animals to children who have been allegedly sexually abused instead of gowns when they are taken to the hospital for examination.
