Hardscratch General Store actually scored 97 Health Inspection! 2009-09-25 - 7289 Hwy 55 S. RD, Columbia, KY in the Village of Glens Fork - Photo by Ken Hill. "Contrary to what a few people may have read in an erroneous media report, here is a photograph of the score on our latest Health Inspection by Corey Patterson of the Lake Cumberland Area Health Department on September 14, 2009, which lists three very minor problems and gave us a score of 97 out of 100% in our restaurant area.!," Ken Hill of Hardscratch General Store said this afternoon in a telephone interview. "We're frying fish tonight! And we're serving them in as clean a restaurant as you'll find anywhere." He added, "Our friends and customers know how hard we work to keep this little place alive, and to keep our community alive. We work just as hard to keep the place clean.We have NEVER received poor marks on any Health Inspection, and have worked hard to make sure our entire store is as presentable as possible. We appreciate all the community support we've received and ask everyone in Adair and Russell County to come out tonight and see for themselves the kind of place we, Ken, Vickie and Jake are running here and enjoy the wonderful catfish we have serve on catfish night every 2nd and last Friday of each month."
