Save the Courthouse Tour: Lunacy Inquests

One of the titles Adair Circuit Court Clerk Dennis Loy noted on the of the Adair County Courthouse on Friday, July 31, 2009, was the one on this thick book, "Lunacy Inquests." The book is one of the old record books stashed in the loft leading to the clocktower bell. Many other record books are in need of better archival care. An Adair Genealogical Library is one of the suggestions made for the use of the courthouse, with ancient records such as the Lunacy Inquests available for research.
