Wildflowers and plants of KY: Elderberry blossoms

2009-06-19 - Greenbriar Ridge, South Adair County, KY - Photo by Kay Haupt.
This picture was taken on Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Kay Haupt writes, "Elderberry bloom. Think that is what you call it, an elderberry bloom. It was taken in my pasture." If it's not an elderberry plant, it is important to let local home processors know before turning the fruit into jellies, jams, and homemade wine. Thanks for helping chronicle the stages of development of Adair County plants. The diary will be more and more useful each year. -CM See CONFIRMATION THAT THIS IS, INDEED, AN ELDERBERRY + wild territorial claims on entire crop on Bull Run Road, but for good purposes.
