The Depot District in Cookeville, TN, offers this mural, a tribute to emergency response activities at an intersection near the old depot. The Depot District is located on the west side of Cookeville, near the city's thriving medical center and Tennessee Tech's campus. The district is anchored by many businesses which have stood the tests of decades of customers, plus an ever changing set of small shops, ranging from bridal boutiques to antique stores, to new and used books stores, ethnic and regional restaurants, and a grandparents' delight: a toy and book store run by a husband-wife team, electrical engineer who helps his wife, who holds a master's degree in education from Tech. The discovery of the Discovery Depot let Linda Waggener, above, considering the mural, to comment in appreciation of Lindsey Wilson College and Campbellsville University, "I've got to tell you, Eddie, 'You got yourself a college, you've got yourself a town.'"
