First snowflake falls, shelves being restocked

The first snowflake fell on my nose and eyelashes around 7:10am in New Columbia as I was heading for last minute supples and catching a quick hug from my nephew Will. An army of his fellow Walmart staffers were restocking shelves as fast as they could go. This bread aisle shows the challenge.
The storm warning gave the start time as 3am, however, it was dry while people got out for chores until then. As this is posted at 8:30am, serious snowfall is underway.

2025-01-09 - Photo From NOAA weather service. Today has been a really cold but lovely, sunny day with a calm wind. The weather warning just issued begins in the wee hours, starting around 3amCT. Tonight, we will have a below freezing low temperature of around 16. Friday, January 10, 2025, is predicted to be a day of snow, heavy at times, with a high of near 31 (still below freezing). Please travel carefully if you have to be outside.
