IF THE SIGN LOOKS INSTITUTIONAL, and a bit unusual in a great Adair County home kitchen, it's not. It has a perfect right to be there. The "KITCHEN" sign is from the kitchen in the cafeteria at the one time Cane Valley Elementary School. It was moved down the hall to a more appropriate place of honor with the pots and pans in the kitchen of the home of Sonny and Trilby Vance. The Vances have converted the former school building into a beautiful residence with attached shop, on five acres atop one of the many cedar dotted hills overlooking Cane Valley.
