2008-08-06 - Campbellsville RD, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
ELVIS WILL BE RIGHT HERE Saturday night, August 9, 2008, starting at 6:00pmCT, when Betty Ollestad turns the parking lot of Betty's OK Country Cooking into an outdoor amphitheater for a free concert. The restaurant will present Caleb Brown in Concert with "A Tribute to Elvis Presley." Everyone is encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs," Betty said. "We will be using Anthony's Parking Lot, also," she said. Thatis the large area around the building which can be seen under the big Betty's sign. "I want everyone who can to come out and have some fun with us," she said. "If you liked Elvis, you will really enjoy Caleb. He puts on a really great show!" Caleb Brown, from Liberty, KY, has already enthralled hundreds who have seen him perform at Columbia's Dream Depot and other venues. The restaurant will be open during the concert, with the regular buffet menu, and drinks will be available outside."We've never done this before," she said, "but the more here, the better we'll like it."
