Scenic Adair County: Down Every Road

2007-11-01 - Cundiff Cemetery Road - Photo by Pen.
ALDUS BROCKMAN USED TO SAY: "I never saw a road I didn't want to go down." This one, Cundiff Road, was one of those roads anyone would want to take on a memory keepsake day like today, to see what's at the foot of the hill and what's along the graceful curve up the next hill. Actually, it's two roads. Across Knifley Road, KY 551, which runs up the valley at the foot of this hill, is Howard Dulin Road, which T's to become continue as Howard Dulin Road or, to the right, Ballou Road. A viewer might want to know what's behind, too: The ancient Cundiff Cemetery, with it's unusual drystone perimeter wall and it's magnificent view afforded in all directions. A Today, November 1, 2007, picture. No story.
