Design Concept for 911 building

A drawing by Benton Fudge, South Central Designs, Columbia, KY, in the office of Adair CJE Ann Melton gives a preliminary idea of what the James Wilkerson Icehouse Building will look like after it is renovated for the Adair County 911 Building. Details may be changed slightly, but Judge Melton thinks the basic concept will hold. Dispatching operations will be on the top floor, allowing personnel to look out over most of the critical government buildings in the community. The building is being financed with a $240,000 state grant authorized by Gov. Ernie Fletcher.
