Short Creek Bridge replacement process underway

Tear out of the Bridge over Short Creek on Dunnville Road was the subject of a mandatory pre-bid conference at the site on Tuesday, July 3, 2007. Bids are to be opened in the morning, Friday, July 6, 2007, at 8:30am. Three companies, Egypt Construction Company, Columbia, KY; Ivan Greer, Knifley, KY, and Earthworks, Russell County, KY, signed in at the conference. The view above is toward the Casey County line and Dunnville, KY the Gate Capital of the World. The large sycamore on the left is one of the trees which will be removed. Among those in the photo above, not in order, are Barry Smith of Egypt Construction; Larry Carta of Earthworks; Greg Greer of Bill Greer, Inc.; Lisa Lee of the CJE's office; ACRD Supervisor Jobe Darnell, and Gary Samuell of the ACRD.
